Rework Reef and/or Warlord

We need to balance these two to have proper, balanced roles.

Right now the warlord's main purpose is long range support. It can be effective vs slow moving ships and static defences. The issue with the balance is that the reef can provide comparable bombardment capabilities while providing other utilities.

The two ships in question have similar costs but the warlord has more health but slower speed, however, since it has very long range guns, it shouldn't be at the front lines so the high level of health isn't a huge benefit.
The Warlord has 3 sets of triple gun batteries that deal a total of 450 dps at 1400 range. The reef launches a 150 dps cruise missile at 1550 range. A 300 dps deficit on the direct gun itself. However the reef can field 8 gulls which each deal 81 dps, leading to higher total possible dps. While the gulls are vulrable to AA, they have the huge benefit of being free and are capable of traveling long distances. Because of the cruise missile and gulls, most people will choose a reef over a warlord for bombardment.

In addition to bombardment, the reef offers 3 major utility bonuses:
1) Anti-Nuke capability
2) Air Repair Pad
3) Unusually high Line of Sight

I recommend reducing the combat capabilities of the reef while strengthening the weapons on the warlord. This will help define the warlord as the bombardment ship and the reef as the mutli-purpose utility ship.

Leviathan needs to get Reef's cruise missile. Warlord is a bit boring but fine I think, slightly reduced price might be good.

Also I wish at least one of the sea striders had some (good) anti-sub capability...

A long-range cruise missile on a unit which is impervious to anything short of a nuke which has even comparable range sounds like a Bad Idea (tm)

maybe just make leviathan a short range torpedo battlesub as well as tac nukes.. just enough range to combat urchin but with the same crappy hp and a high dps of 4 homing urchin shots at a time.. then sea has a anti sub strider thats not useless after it wins sea because it can tac too.

maybe nerf the reef somehow.. im not sure how.. or/and buff warlord they are the bad choice atmo imho

Actually Levi can become a swiming Merl, but make it surface to fire. More vunerable wubnerable, less OP. And give it lolplode on death, to prevent clustering (You know, atomic submarine)

About Warlord, it could get indirect buff by giving it a set of Razors AA guns, which would give it ability to defend, or at least scare away small enemy air forces (including Reef's Gulls!), increasing its support value and making it feel more like actual battleship.

Reef. Remove missile, keep Anti, rework Gullsinto small bombers? Fly, drop a single bomb, get back to repair/rearm. That would explain the landing pads.

I don't know for Warlord but reef is so obvious.

1) Air pad is the crap thing : planes reload on the reef but it takes ages to repair them. It's faster and safer to send them in your base. Sometimes, you forget your wyvern goes to reload on the reef and then attack and die because it's half hp -_-

2) Anti nuke : this is the joke! reef is 3.5k and protector is 3k. Guys, do you see the problem? Do you need a picture?

3) Radar : I don't get this. Does pene have a radar? Why not? Who cares?

4) Drone, impaler : well this is overpowered for the price and not a little, even my mom know that.


We could use the morph system to split the unit :
- morph to a pure support unit : heavy buffed repair pad + anti nuke? + radar? + sonar? + aa? + torpedo? + singu!
- or morph to a fighter : drones + impaler? + zenith!
Someone tells me the prices must be adjusted in consequence.

PS This unit should be removed while it is fixed

Lol, just remove eveyrhting and leave Reef as a blank unit ^^

:: NEON ENGAGE ::

Leviathan:
- require surfacing to release missiles
- get a non-stockpile cruise missile for standard bombardment

Reef:
- allow pads to receive units like surfboards (blocking their role as reload pads for aircraft)
- use transporter drones to move untits onto pads
- allow drones to hide in bays when unit is on hold fire
- replace machinegun drones with scalpel-like missile bomber drones (one-shot, reload in bay after each run)
- remove anti, remove cruise missile

Warlord:
- force higher minimal turret elevation, or even force it into high-trajectory mode for life.

Protector:
- mirror underside with minor distortions
- convert to dae
- make floatable

Serpent:
- remove or replace with a downscaled surfacing missile artillery submarine like leviathan. But better remove.

I suggested time ago a strider hover that can grab multiple units like surfboards do :D but on reefs could be fine too. But absolutely remove their antinuke. however idk how to balance cruise missile and drones :/

Idea!

Make reef all drones required to be within a certain distance of their host. (like 1400-1650 is good)
Slap reef missile onto leviathan.
Add another utility to leviathan. (dumbfire rapid rocket launcher dgun to leviathan? sort of like cata but with a much larger area and bigger explosions :D)


Reef becomes drone carrier/support
Leviathan becomes long range bombardment
Warlord could be retooled into a sort of sea supremecy ship.

i think drones would make more sense as a much shorter range defensive weapon rather than something you just lazily spam at enemy defenses from out of artillery range
