The Sumo never seems effective when compared to Jacks, but Jacks always look like they're OP because of their disproportionately small size.

It seems to have interesting mechanics but isn't really good at them. It could do with more damage, jump range, jump damage and jump aoe?

Will you not be happy with balance until people consider the unit for a rush? ;D

Stat-wise, I don't see anything wrong with sumo. Btw, I think sumo's meant for area denial purposes, not assault purposes (Sumo=riot unit, Jack=assault unit)

Way too little(none) aoe, micro-intensive and short-ranged for a proper riot. Also, still has hp of an assault and works better point-blank. It's an assault.

It's guns have trouble killing anything and jump does at most 800 damage.

Sumo is extremely slow and doesn't have great DPS. Maybe reduce jump time and increase AoE/damage to make it more rioty?

I think the sumo concept could do with a rethink. Maybe if the jump had greater range, so it could begin an assault by landing on top of the defences from out of range..

The whole jumpfac would need a proper rethink in terms of role, i gather.

Pyro is a raider/riot, while the fac already has a raider in form of goo; so pyro has speed of raider with aoe of riot, and it is AT to boot.

Sumo is an assault/"riot" while there is already a proper assault in form of jack, and its riot part is quite imaginary. It is also a demi-superunit.

There is no proper riot at all. There is an imaginary one, and a raider.

The 'skirmisher' for the jumps can't actually do the skirm > assault because it's actually a support unit, so it needs, well, assaults to kill what it skirmishes. But maybe that's okay, because synergy.

How about we get a proper raider/riot/assault separation? Maybe bandits should not be a very effective counter to what thinks of itself as jumpfac riot unit 1(pyro), and glaives to be an efficient counter to the other "riot" (sumo)

Then at the very least those Specialist units should not have their roles caller Riot, Raider, etc. Because they're Specialists, after all.

Also, what's so special about Sumo to call it a specialist? What's it so good at?

only thing i dislike about this factory is the expensive cons (i'd rather a 5BP and 180m conbot) and the firewalker sometimes not shooting where i order it too. other then that its great, don't bother making a sumo ever, if it comes to it just make jacks and skuttles later game.

Well, the Sumo can jump off ledges, onto ledges, out from dirtbag spam, onto units, away from units.

Honestly, I like it. And with the recent cheapening, it's not so bad.
