I think this may involve the spring engine itself cause I have replicated in other modes.

Win7x64 - AMD 6950 - unlocked i5 - 32 GB RAM

Does Spring100 and/or Zero-K have known issues with AMD Drivers?

I seem to have resolved this by changing ForceShader = 0 on advanced settings. I was really taking a shot in the dark on that one, but so far it seems to be effective.
