I very much doubt that. What makes you think so?

True, if the game dies before steam release then clusterfucks will also end :P

No.

What will happen is only 8 people will play while everyone else spectates.

This conclusion has been reached with 87% certainty based on current trends and previous experience.

What if we limit specs to two, not counting the bot?

Then people will leave cause no games to play and no games to spectate.

Quite easy - automove specs (with informative message) to other small games room if spectator number is even and greater than > 3. Take elo into consideration if splitting to more than 1 rooms.

please no curing ideas or whatever, it was only a question about what will happen and not about how to make it worse...

I think it's worth a week of potential inconvenience to find out.

I don't have strong feelings one way or the other though, people in groups rarely act as you'd expect them to unless you've got a valid sample to generalise from. I'm unaware of any valid sample for what happens when clusterfuck is removed in ZK.

I do think weekly variance could be good. Changing the availability of supported gametypes based on what day of the week it is. Then everyone would know to turn up at particular times if they have a strong preference, which makes these games more likely to happen anyway. For example, I believe more FFA would happen if you could only play FFAs one day a week, even though that doesn't make intuitive sense.

I think we should test it.

Imo, small games and 1v1s simply need matchmaking.
I think most players (myself included) prefer to join existing "full" rooms rather than empty ones, and in my experience it's easier to wait a few games than to get another 1v1 room started.

PLrankFailer correct. Discuss what will happen and not how to cure it.

People will make threads speculating what's gonna happen when clusterfuck is brought back.
