I have few questions about second account rights who isn't made with intention to harm other players or infrastructure. Second account user didnt use his original profile in same time.

1. They are allowed to play vs bot/chicken games with other player original account?
2. They are allowed to play in private room only with other second account players? Example like only smurf FFA or vs bots/chicks.

IMO (didn't discuss this with anyone else atm) bots/chix is OK by definition since it's vs. AI and not vs. players.
FFA however affects Elo etc. so I think it's an issue.

I think he means games among only smurfs.
Eg. PLrankgnurps vs USrankspreng_llll
but not PLrankSprung vs USrankspreng_llll

I don't want any second accounts for players. Give me a valid use-case.

  • Anonymity towards players.
  • More accurate elo in the case of one account per mood/state of tiredness/playstyle/teamsize/gamemode.
  • The more the merrier.

I think in this case that probably doesn't qualify as "players".

I use my smurf to read chat while I'm not at my personal computer. This way I'm certain I won't pass any conversation since the chat history would not be avaible on another machine. I also used to use it for another lobby to play other games (like evo for example).

You won't be able to prevent them in a F2P game. If you really don't want them, you need to think of a (really) good way to prevent them, because they will and do happen.

* Hosting (multiple) rooms
* Running AIs on dedicated machines
* Testing multiplayer mechanics on your own (that can't be replicated using godmode)

Most of the responses aren't talking about players. They are talking about developers or tournament organisers.

Why?

I think the effect is irrelevant enough to not warrant self-medication in the case of tiredness. For playstyle do you mean trolling? Weird gamemodes can use noelo if you want.

Yes, this is unfortunate. Needs infrastructure improvement to resend or browse logs online.

I'm not going to get what I want. Is this thread about asking what I'd like or what you could technically get away with to annoy me?

There are plenty of reasons...
- ban dodging
- anonymous abuse of other players
- low-elo noob wrecking
- spec cheating

Oh, never mind.

Just give the options to set entry level for rooms. I know this may collides a bit with: "let newbies play everywhere", but they could see it as a goal and play so long in "normal room". Smurfs won't have much fun to play with newbies only (yes I know from what I am talking.)
