Theres a couple great things to learn from this game. Notably, Raar almost immediately expands to the corner (2.4, 2.7 and 2.4 again mexes, vs the 1.3 that litter the map otherwise). I love this play. He seems to do this quite a bit when I've played him on this map and I think it's a great decision that deserves highlighting.

The second thing, something if you watch Shadowfury333's youtube videos you'll know raaar is quite well known for, is how he uses his commander. The commander is worth 1200 metal, and after it dies, can be reclaimed for 400 metal. While the actual worth of the commander is dependent on your skill level and strategy, raaar gets a lot more value from his commander than many other players.

Often, I'll take the support commander without thinking twice, but in reality, what I'm gaining is only a slightly larger build radius, (which, don't get me wrong, when min / maxing, can make a huge difference in base building and management) where what I could actually be gaining is a slow moving behemoth, that takes down countless enemies and can be used as an anchoring point for the majority of the early and mid game.

I was expecting and trying to check for oncoming commander, but for some reason I had it in my mind he will come round the North side...whoops!

The commander comes with an innate +4 metal income, which compensates for its 480m reclaim (80m comes from the income module shard) in exactly two minutes, with a +6 energy on top.

Keeping the commander alive is important. That said, sure, PTrankraaar's commanders often end up doing more damage than 480m worth of units every two minutes.

cloaky bots aren't very good against commander push with a pair of riots.

with beamlaser you can get enough range early enough to trade hits with ronins. And cloaky bot riots and assaults are also somewhat slow so they can be kited.

At some point when I was engaging his base I changed my factories queue to spam glaives to support the assault and hunt possible snipers, but it seems the morph cleared the waypoint. That should be fixed.

I haven't seen the replay yet, but it felt like another clumsy win as I excessed 1600 metal and gave him some time to rebuild.
