What do you think about the use of defensive structures(Stinger) in places that hold no ECONIMIC value for yourself? It's a potent strategy on this map.

I can use slower units like zues to pin down attention and a mex location without any fear of getting encircled/overwhelmed by raiders/ skirmishers because there's and easily accessible position to store them, so I can address the counter without loosing my assaults.

now I feel bad so I'll contribute more...
In this case you used stinger as siege artillery. Cheap siege artillery at that. On this map we all feel compelled to put our facs up on those pads right next the eco, in order to get everything going nice and quickly on map start. this becomes a liability.

In this sense, more maps should be like this map. I think Thornford sometimes sees porc on the middle spires, which is great and one of the things i consider successful about Thorn.

Of course, there it's partially incentivised by the temporary economic value of reclaim; but then that goes away while logistic importance of the middle stays.

I guess it can be distilled into an advice for map makers to not place economic value on logistics hotspots, like these - because they will be important and probably porced regardless.

If you look at Gecko with this lens, it actually does precisely that (aside from the corners thing):
[Spoiler]

There's no economy anywhere near the Equidistant and Direct Path lines.
