Recorded and commented on the gameplay in youtube. An FFA game where not everything is related to how strong you are, just how good you are in diplomacy and "play dead" tactic.

This was a good cast, and the first half of the game was beautiful. Your game-winning deal with evanlegamer was a masterstroke.

The last half of the game, after you had won, was dismal. Instead of making a dozen funnelwebs, you could have made a flock of swifts to kill Jasper's flying constructors and a swarm of glaives to kill and occupy his metal spots. The game would have lasted one hour instead of two.

But it was still a good cast, and I hope you keep it up.

Nice detailed explanations. For more casts it would be great if you were not using minimal graphics. It is a bit hard to see what is going on and is fairly ugly at times.

17:56 - You said your cloaked your singus, I assume you mean jammed since structures can't cloak?

Two things about the map/game:
  • Should the sea of Azure Rampart be impassible, as was intended? I think so.
  • Should Zenith be nerfed? It was recently buffed as part of reducing meteor lag. See http://zero-k.info/Forum/Thread/28707

USrankCrazyEddie you were right...I had to finish the game earlier than before. But when you lose a Singularity Reactor, Zenith and then you are attacked by two Detriments + Zenith + Scallob/Lobster drop you play it safe :D. I didn't know where the Paladins were and that's why I waited.

YESSS, I didn't know who made the changes to the map but that was the main purpose playing here...to have a narrow gap of the fighting area.

4. Should Zenith be nerfed?
I think that we need to increase the metal costs for Zenith, Starlight and Disco. They started to be used in team games mid-game and late-game. Making Zenith less strong against the shields will compensate for its good attack location and it will give the players a chance to counter it. Starlight already has a counter...terraform and Disco right now I am not sure about it.

It gives no visual indication of being impassable. Violet rampart does, so better switch to that version then?

Ok, I remember now. You are right about violet rampart, but previously Azure Rampart had acid water. Don't know when that changed.

Also, the violet rampart map is not supported by FFA...

Azure never had acid water, it just made all units stuck if you entered water. People would still terraform singus though, because that restriction did not apply to air.

ROrankForever, i made the nuke to eliminate uncarefull players, mainly the guy between the two of us.

The main reason why i loost i think was the constant fighting that i had to do.

Neah LUrankAdminAnir...you wasted time making Nuke and Zenith when you should need at least two singus :). Terraforming against the banthas and tactical nukes from your base to USrankJasper 's would be ideal :). You also had nukes but never scouted to stun the two protectors. A missile silo 2 emps your nuke and USrankJasper was good as dead.

I had my singu killed, I lost 25% zenith and I was also attacked by detriment from the guy next to me :D. So we were even at least :D
