started a new single player game yesterday, saved and loaded it several times...woke up this morning and went to play...Save game was gone...nice...

Do you mean a campaign file?

I don't think you can save an in-progress game.

There was a new engine version to fix issues with broken save games. I think there is a way for you to tell steam to use an old update. Alternately, you could replace everything (besides done.txt) in Steam\steamapps\common\Zero-K\engine\win64\104.0.1-1544-ge1f249f with: https://springrts.com/dl/buildbot/default/maintenance/104.0.1-1529-gffcc8d2/win64/spring_%7bmaintenance%7d104.0.1-1529-gffcc8d2_win64-minimal-portable.7z

Undo your changes after loading the save though, as the old version had a bug so you shouldn't start anything new with it.

I just started a new game instead. I went to play the save yesterday and while playing the game crashed. Loaded up the game again and the save was gone. I uploaded the crash log. Looks like the saves are still in the games Save folder. Saving seemingly worked fine since i started playing 2-3 weeks ago. I'll just play multiplayer for now till it's sorted out.
