Stuff 3 years ago Agree. Mistrals just don't have the DPS to take down sirens (I've had games where the enemy sirens took 0 losses despite heavy mistral spam on my part), and they often died to siren missiles or envoys. +0 / -0
PRO_Dregs 3 years ago Plus Mistrals are also vulnerable to seawolf if not envoy. That's a disadvantage Siren does not have, which means why build mistral when it's clear that whoever spams more sirens will have the assault force needed to win / wall envoys properly and win. Siren shouldn't be that obvious of a choice. +1 / -0
Bakuhatsu 3 years ago (edited 3 years ago) Is Mistral that bad vs envoy? I wouldn't suggest spamming Mistrals, but siren spam with a handful of Mistrals seems like it should be better than Siren spam by itself +0 / -0
Godde 3 years ago Yeah, Mistrals counter Sirens if they have lots of space to kite the Sirens. Also, yeah you can dodge Envoy shots if you see them coming. However, look at how small this map is and all the chokepoints. There isn't much room to kite and dodge with Mistrals. Even if the Mistrals can kite and dodge, the Sirens and Envoys will still have plenty of targets to shoot at while they advance. Also, it will probably not be just a single Siren coming at you. Probably like 3-4 at the same time, and then the enemy can just retreat damaged Siren to repair while still advancing. +0 / -0
Bakuhatsu 3 years ago (edited 3 years ago) I used small supreme battlefield because I was also testing something else, and because I didn't figure I could easily micro both sides at once on sparkles. But yeah, I know it's very different in a real game. Sparkles does have a tendency to porc up pretty hard though too, and frontline space gets crowded pretty hard. That gives mistral some space to fire overhead and into the porc lines and to add extra damage from beyond point blank range, right? +0 / -0
