I am not really sure how to deal with the commander cheese as rovers. The opponent's commander is very hard to kill, especially when supported by glaives. I would need to expend alot of time and resources to gain the ammount of scorchers needed to neutralize the opponent's commander, which is bound to be an attrition loss for me. The range of the opponent's commander makes dominatrix very hard to work, and his glaive support can also catch my dominatrix.

The only possible solution to defeating this cheese that i have come up with at the moment would be to counterpush the opponent's base with my own rippers and scorcher. At best, upon the opponent realizing that I have expended resources to counterpush their base, they would use their commander to push mine, which would result in a basetrade. Such a situation would be in favor of the opponent however, since their commander would already be at my base and their army is still much better than mine. at worse, my ripper/scorcher push would be deflected by some rushed out reavers and some ronins.

After playing this game, i am currently at a loss as to how to deal with such a strong commander push, and I am requesting assistance from anyone who may have better ideas on how to deal with such a strong push.

On a base level, when against cloaky as rover I like doing 1 dart 1 scorcher 1 fencer, and use the tactic "attackmove the fencers and meet the charging glaives with the scorchers". You got 'trapped' in your base super early on, and shadybear had caretaker doubling production of glaives earlier than you had increased production.

The traping up the hill early on was due to having your scorchers outmicored by glaives. Then being stuck in your base made any raider on raider confrontastion really bad for you cause you would always be encircled going through the choke point.(observation, not really criticism or advice on you specifically) This is just an unfortunate circumstance, but fencers would either make the glaives rush into the choke point for combat or disperse, allowing you to foothold on the low ground, nullifying the bad scenario. You could then move a bunch of fencers and scorchers on the offencive, which usually makes your opponent respond defensively, freeing up your ability to expand.

There was a situation in the game where all the combat was happening close to your main base. A way to capitalize on this is to increase production, build a little excess energy in an overdrive grid(+8 energy) and using that energy to spend metal that you reclaim from the combat wrecks on your side. secure with a com or an llt. It's something I don't do enough myself. bonus, you either then can save metal on more energy as you expand to more mexes in the future, or you get to have overdrive dividends.

This commander was a rush morph into napalm riot/rocket launcher with free drones. This is a hard com to take with rover, I was watching how domis couldn't stay damage free from the com weapons. Your best options are to engage from all sides(hard when you are stuck on the hill) and potentially 5-6 ravagers(1500 metal) supported by raider-killers and raiders(~1000 metal). I got to admit, this sucks major balls. you can also use badger chip damage(1-2 badgers, <600 metal) to force an engagement, retreat, or chip damage. I feel 3 well micro'd dominatrix(1300 metal oh lord) supported by raiders could maybe convert the com. use anti bait toggle on the dominatrixes if you feel you want them to only target the com. I have a feeling when someone commorphs they will micro that com to no end, which means keeping the com constantly engaged means that they ain't macroing, which makes the chip damage from badger probably the 2nd best option to surounding and killing it.
