This was an interesting game. I don't understand how USrankNobbester's army was so gigundously huge for the entire game. Like, what am I supposed to do as cloakbots against an army that never gets smaller? Ronin is worse than Recluse by a lot, so the only thing that could approach/hurt his army were phantoms, slings, knights (kind of), and imps if you do it right (which I didn't). I had all of those things. My teammate UArankMeowcat was even giving me tons of metal all the time (thanks :D) and I was still getting wrecked, his army was just so huge.

I think the best things I could have done was make use of cloaking fields, use imps better, and finish the Dante sooner. But I feel like even if I did all those things, I still would have lost. What was I supposed to do?

to wear down massive shields as cloaky, use more slings on fight move. as shields have no arti for themselve (just disarm), you can put constant pressure on. shields below 1500 hp enable phantoms to 1-shot units (whereby i would use these on manual fire to pick more important targets like felon/thug/outlaw/shieldwalker). to protect said artillery units, bring cloakwalker with reavers and some knights.

you dont have to "win" this encounter, just stall it. while doing so, a cloaked glaiveball can sneak by and kill the backland, where you should focus on the factory itself and energy structures (or eco in general).

cloaked imps can work to some extend, but are highly demanding to manual control, and at times difficult to succeed. also, you are expected to have to "go in" in close combat to kill these stunned units. this can be a problem as shildballs tend to be stunned partially and are strong in close distance fights, in which you would find yourself in that particular case.

Yes that is good advice and yes there was a shieldball, but the shieldball I didn't have a huge problem with. It was the giant spider army that when it approached there were so many spiders that there wasn't much I could do. I should have used imps better, but even then it would have been very hard to stun his entire army and kill it. It would've taken like 5 well placed imps. (and I am not very good at placing them)

I did have slings as well, but his army never seemed to get smaller, and with Spiders vs. Cloakbots the spiders seem to make more cost unless I am cleverly using cloaking stuff, which I wasn't cause I forgot.

always implement cloakerwalker, to get in close combat. kill riots with your heavies. hunt down rest with glaives. in that matchup, ronin is not needed and sling does not shine well. sniper can be benefitial when manually sniping riots for you. cloaked imps are likely not to succeed, as spiders have fast and cheap fleas to prevent this usage.

USrankLawesome9: Can I recommend using attack-move more and move less? You lost a ton due to that.

It was 2v1 down south for most of the game and you didn't push against a weak central opponent whose entire army consisted of a single felon and a con. Phantoms and Slings should basically always be pushing forwards (use attack move and a hold fire attack move gremlin to scout for them) in lower density games like this. (an AFK Phantom or Slink is a bad phantom or sling)

Against spiders you want Phantoms or cloaked reaver/knights. Sending Glaives vs Redback is pointless and at that sort of density Ronins are bad.

Also, at 30m/s, 10 mins in and army sized of 5k+ you really shouldn't be thinking yourself limited to a single factory. In fact, you shouldn't even just be thinking about "scaling up" to striders (though that's not a bad instinct)! Instead thing about what you are actually facing and how to counter it.
In your case:
1. The standard counter to massed spiders is jumpfac switch for firewalker. This would have gotten a few good hits on the spider ball, though given it was relatively close to an enemy shieldball that could protect it it's a bit risky.
2. Thunderbird is absolutely fantastic in this scenario (particularly against an opponent who probably has split attention on two fronts), stun them all and then send in 20 glaives to kill everything.
3. A shieldfac for snitches and an iris (or morphed Cornea) are EXTREMELY strong against all balls. Take this game of mine for an example: https://zero-k.info/Battles/Detail/1422199
4. Ravens and Phoenix are also very effective against spiderballs (a Raven nearly makes cost with a single dropped bomb on a Recluse!) and their fast reload time means you can get a few sorties/kills in before being AA starts showing up.
