Ready up ingame OR I KICK YOU!

Angellus 12 years ago So, I get kicked quite often (read: 9/10) when trying to play Zero-K. This due to the hosting application kicking anyone not ingame after 2 minutes. On my normal games (BA/TA) this is not much of a problem but zero-k has slightly longer loading times, causing me to reach the limit nearly every time I play. I would like to know a way around it, if not I would like to suggest the following: - Set a option (!noforce; for example) so that there is no auto-kick, just the way as it always was. Please let me know if anything can be done, to me this is very harmfull to this game's enjoyment :( +0 / -0
Licho 12 years ago If you get kicked you can rejoin fine. Its already 3 minutes btw. Does it really take 3 minutes to load? What PC you got? +0 / -0
Rafalpluk 12 years ago Try disabling Area Mex widget, it will save you a few seconds. You can enable it ingame later. But 3 minutes? Was it on some really large map? If it was on average map then there is something wrong with your PC, it was loading faster on my 7 years old AMD Duron 1800, which I had until I bought a new PC recently. I suggest doing defragmentation on the disk volume containing Spring folder, maybe it will help. +0 / -0
Angellus 12 years ago I've got a Pentium 4 HT enabled 3.2Ghz, 1gb of ram and a 256mb Ati x600 card. It runs a legal WinXP SP 2 or 3, not sure. Since it's a Dell computer I've never upgraded it. The rig is about 6 years old now and I have not expectations for a new rig anytime soon :) Ingame is nearly never a problem and for certainty's sake the graphics are all on low :) Best solution for me would be a implementation of a !noforce command, or anything like it. The 3 minute limit should take some of the kicking out though :) Thanks for the responses so far :) +0 / -0
[Crimson]Fatalis 12 years ago yea planet wars wont shut up ,my cpu is perfectly fine but sometimes because im with friends in the same clan and he loads slower and gets kicked, i get kicked with him even thought im in game +0 / -0
[V]ConTrust 12 years ago I think the time limit should be extended, it's too short and often kicks me just a few seconds after my spring loads. That's annoying for everyone. If the point of this autokick is to prevent quicker players from waiting too long, those players (already waiting ingame) will have to wait once again anyways for their reconnecting teammates. Keep in mind that the game was launched according to team balance and odds, so kicking a little slower players only makes it worse. :/ Thanks +0 / -0
