So everythime i start the zero-k lobby, i have to manualy change the settings to "minimal" every time I start it. The settings donot save to what i set it to previously after i close the lobby. I would be alot easier if the settings would save what i set it to everytime i start the lobby, so i dont have to worry about restarting the game everytime i forgot to set the settings to minimal. Is this fixible? and can some one fix it? It would be awsome!

Thanks,
Taser3

Need more information, how do you know its not minimal next time you start?
And how do you start it?
Where is the exe and where its datadir?

its pretty simple. I start the lobby> set settings to min>play game> exit lobby> start lobby again> settings do not save, I have to set settings to min again>

however, when i forget to change the settings when i start the lobby, When i start a game, i lag alot, and you can tell its not min because the player list looks diffrent. The min setting does not lag me and the player list looks old.

Try setting springsettings.cfg to read only and see if it saves your settings then.

Nah dont listen to GBrankTheSponge please, it would crash.

Verify HOW do you start Zero-K lobby .. from where ...

Do you start by desktop shortcut? Where does it point to? What is your datadir set to in spring://settings (settings tab of ZKL)
Just need more information.

Why would it crash? A lot of things seem to be said to not work but I have them working (like the mission editor in WINE), not just ZK.

Because everything assumes that WRITABLE folder contains WRITABLE settings.

Please stop confusing people and allow us to solve problem instead of create new one.
