I created a torrent with all my maps (about 6Gb). Don't know if helpful or whether I will be able to seed it to anyone.

I don't even know how to paste here any kind of "link" to this torrent lol.

If you right click on the file, choose an option like "copy magnet" or "link".

The resulting thing should be a link that people can put into their browser and activate through their torrent client.

6GB is way too much. There is like 1GB max playable maps.

For a map pack I would include:
Red Comet
Titan Duel
Wanderlust
Comet Catcher Redux
Titan
Delta Siege Dry Deluxe
Ravaged
Altair Crossing
Battle for Planet XVII
Stronghold
Alien Desert
Intersection
Green Comet
Geyser Plains
Trojan Hills
Bandit Planes
Onyx Cauldron
Calamity
Quicksilver
Desert Needle Small
Those should be enough for someone to jump into any size of game without having to download too many maps which will be needed for Steam or we will have the same problem as Evo did.

Most of the 1v1 maps are small (in filesize) anyway.

For a mappack 1.5-2 GB is acceptable imo

Missing FFA maps... at least some of the smaller ones. BlackStar, Desert Triad (or third?), Aberdeen, Saktoth's Castles map, Energy Spire Plains, and a Gods of War variant.

You know, I did not search for extravagant maps to include in my pack. This is only the result of a couple of years of playing ZK, so all these maps were played at least once.

Actually people with fast connections wont download pack, since they can download whatever map is needed on the fly in seconds, but ones who would download is slow connection users and 6GB is much.

A large part of it is that Steam users expect games to be fully downloaded when they are installed. It was a sticking point for the EvoRTS release.

warcraft have map download and they are still fine

I mean that's was how dota was distributed.

Most of WarCraft 3's maps at first, along with the game as a whole, were installed from the disc. Only the custom maps were downloaded through the client.

Also, AFAIK for the last several years downloading the DotA map in the game room is grounds for kicking. You are expected to get it beforehand from the official website.
