it looks similar to Spring's graphics- if there's a way to download it though it would be easy to tell because the license file+ mods would be somewhere(even custom builds would need that text)

Having FPS would have already meant "not spring".

Spring FPS is irreparably crippled.

This game has potential, RTS+ Shooter game. I already talked a bit about these 2 combination.
When you start the game you will be able only to play as a first person shooter player, and when your rank is bigger you will be a squad leader, after that colonel where you command units like RTS style, and after that as general.

IS there a way to ask for the developer of that game to merge with us? He coded and made those units nice from what i saw in the video.

Its clear that both sides will have a big win if we merge Zero-k and Executive assault.

Will the dev agree on that?

Merge with us? Are games just linear combinations of things like "Good" and "Awesome" with some simple merge operation which combines the elements along each axis. You speak as if merging is a simple operation.

We just call the developers of that game to make this one better. And then ask them to take whats best from theyir game and implement it in this one if you AUrankAdminGoogleFrog and the rest of core dev+ dev agree with it.

What do we have to lose if we ask these things from them:)? I say that this game has a lot of complex things, thats one of the reason i play zero k and not command and conquer generals, supreme commander and other high graphics games.

That is impractical and probably impossible. Not to mention that the other game is commercial closed source.

Hmm, at least to ask for some advice from the dev leaders of that game? Maybe they will accept step by step to help us and in return we will help them to:)

What kind of advice are you looking for?

How to improve gameplay, (less bugs, less lag etc.)
Units suggestions
And many more

At least to establish a comunication with the dev team from that game, if possible, so they know we exist, will also help us in a way to advertise this game and gain more players who will help it.

I don't know why you think anyone would accede to requests to work on or assist a competing project by complete strangers on a completely different engine, a project that has only a limited resemblance and no relation to their own. Or why gameplay ideas or unit suggestions requires the devs specifically to participate. o_O

Hmmmm. Well at least we can try and see what makes theyir game a " I want to try it" if cooperation with them wont work.
I make lots of mistakes when i try to advice the dev comunity regarding balance, units and other stuff, I admit that. But do i make another mistake if i say to try and talk with those guys and establish a comunication? Just for the fun of it.

We can ask theyir opinion about this game and see what they say:)

I don't want to try it, though.

Forever, where do you get your assumptions that that game:
- has good gameplay?
- has less bugs / less lags?
- their devs are more competent than ours?
- their devs would know what is good for ZK better than our devs or players?

You only saw a short video of it.
There are much better videos from ZK, yet the ZK has bugs/lags/gameplay quirks and other problems, so why expect the other game would have less?

Good question @Rafal[ZK] actually i just like a few things from that game: The realistic long range of units, bigger zoom out from what i saw, bigger maps, FPS style of attacking and thats all( they have a bit of beter graphics but i am not a grapphics gamer)

"- their devs are more competent than ours?"

Actually i am sure that the dev team are doing a great job, even if i selfish rage sometimes when a unit is not kept op. :D I admit it with all my heart, so keep up the good work. The only thing that i mention @Rafal[ZK] is that our dev community doesnt have time to code this game to the extreme, because its their free time and i understood that a long time ago.
So as a conclusion i dont consider that game better than Zero-k or their dev team better than ours, its just a few aspects that i think it will improve this game. But thats up to the dev comunity to decide that.

SO the things that i liked in that game were:
Bigger zoom
Realistic range of units( bigger range)
FPS style
Slightly bigger maps( depends here just dont compare them with gargantuan type of maps)

Merging is not agood idea.
seperately each party has the ability to be creative, but simply taking the ideas and blending them is not creative. fully merging the projects results in a loss of flexibility, and developement would be further slowed by trying to tame the monsterious frankencode.

And here I was, thinking only developers of commercial games were unable to code their games to the extreme because of financial pressure.
