could not set video mode

Hello all,
i have the following problem: I play 0K on my laptop in a docking station. Monitos has 1280x1024 resolution. Everything work fine.
But when I want to play without the docking I get 'could not set video mode. No video large enough for 1280x1024' The resolution of the internal laptop screen is 1366x768. So I do not really understand the meaning of the error, or why 0K tries to go for this resolution.
Anyone out there who knows how to fix this?

Use windowed mode found in springsettings.exe. If you fear that program will mess up everything set Fullscreen=0 in springsettings.cfg.
