This could be considered for featuring. However, metal is spread out. This map would be best if it would generate smaller and denser metal areas on almost every island.

This map can be featured in all categories. It can generate whatever needed size depending on number of players + it has advanced mapoptions. In fact I better play this than always dead reef and so on :)

I'm happy to see this featured but how do the boxes work? Is it always nvs?

Anyway, this is the sort of 'special' map that deserves featuring. No idea how it plays but i want to find out.

Yeah, but the map really is designed for FFA play... but figuring out consistently-effective FFA boxes is kinda impossible.

Ideally this map should have boxes generated with the rest of the map, but not sure this is possible. What is usually done is just removing all start boxes, or doing split h/v 50.

split v or h 30 should always leave space for spawning.

1v1 only spawns with 3 hexes, in a line, and split v would not allow you to start there.

I agree that this map would be better with a metal spot in the centre of every hex. As it is, the metal layout is pretty incomprehensible and inconsistent.

Also, many units show up as pure black. Might be due to the lack of lighting, I guess? Though I don't know why some other units, like solar collectors, look completely normal.

Can't the layout (and metal) of the hexes be controlled by mapoptions? If somebody can come up with a good configuration for the mapoptions, we set those in the Springie commands.
