But water in zk isn't thought out well enough :/

I would certainly say that a map with water in the middle and a significant fraction of the resources on a large body of land on each side (this map, Small Supreme *, Sapphire Shores) is one of the failure cases of current sea.

Can people please post map screenshots whenever they upload a map? Diffuse, height and metal are not clear indicators (especially for humans) on how the map looks and plays.

Thats why I think we need one more ampihib and one more ships fac ^^
So ships can be slightly OP in water compared to other facs (cuz amphs have advantage od going dry), and be balanced against each other, while 3 amphib (hovs + current ambhib and the new one) would fullfill supportive role in water.

This way one of the two ships fac would be dominating on pure water maps, but still be competitive on mixed ones, ruling the water.

Currently, at least hovers, are balanced do they are able to fight against ships, which may be good on water map, but the ability to both fight ships evenly and access lands makes them a no choice over ships on mixed maps.

U mad? A whole second ship and amphs factory? You will just replicate the existing units with other forms and names.

Other factories could gain more amphibious capability.

I think the site just takes everything people upload to springfiles. People from say BA (like this maps' author) might even be unaware this site exists.

This map was talked about in #zkmap IIRC so that may be less true in this instance.

Check out the spring-files page of this map instead. ZK server just copies the maps from there.

It also includes some screenshots:

Why? Amphibs e.g. could have two different facs, just like vehs have. One more tank oriented, the other one speed oriented.
Same goes with ships - e.g. one a sub oriented fac, the other surface ships one. Or something else. Use the imagination.

I guess anyone will tell you: come with a comprehensive plan and models first...

Too much work considering it would be denied anyway.
