Why would you possibly put the boxes there? That is silly. N v S makes much more sense on an overly-large map.

North in general looks way higher than south. It might be most balanced to do NW/SE boxes but then it would be way too gigantic. This map looks beautiful but seems terrible.

Problems with this map are:
- the valles marineris (that is the big canyon on the north); it is impassable for anything but spiders and jumpers that can jump across. It also makes pathing on the north very complex and error prone (one misclick and you will find your units moving all the way to one end of the canyon and back again)
- olympus mons and the other big volcanoes in the east providing radar shadows for anything coming from the west
- the 10 player recommendation is somewhat off the mark, it can easily accommodate 10 vs 10 with both sides having sufficient metal to build stuff like Banthas, Detriments and Starlights

The fine heightmap makes for extremely poor pathfinding.

N VS S is bad. North is a massive cliff. Which is hard for units to cross but easy to defend.

Forward placed boxes still leave a large distance between plays. Also allows for possible rear area comm. drops.

Removing from planet wars, it may be ok in normal games, not sure about that. However, being forced to play this in a 2vs2 is no fun.

Boxes where a bit close after watching a game I moved them back a bit.
