@Slaab another idea: Place Fleas [b]beforehand[/b]. Either rush 10+ at gamestart and spread them over the map (make sure to replace casualties), or make 5+ after you hear the first sniper shot, place them at your current front and retreat a bit with the rest of the army. Now hope enemy sharpshooters get close enough to your Fleas. :)

Keep in mind that retreating might be an okay option when you give up an un-mexxed/metal-less area, but not if you have to give up many mexes/metal spots. Of course this all depends on metal values and other situations.
