On the purely meritocratic terms, self-maintaining servers on Linux would provide - in "gains" department - more flexibility and less risk of incompatibility with future version of whatever micro$oft throws at it users (and future cost of upgrading "depreciated" software).
Self-maintaining
servers
on
Linux?
I
haven't
heard
of
such
a
thing.
I
would
really
love
to
have
some
of
those
instead
of
having
to
read
17
research
papers
from
IEEE
Spectrum
on
provisioning
and
scaling
to
find
a
balance
between
making
servers
and
maintaining
servers
because
the
more
servers
you
have
and
the
more
networks
you
have
and
the
more
software
you
have
the
more
expensive
it
is
to
upkeep
them.
If
you
have
any
information
on
Self-maintaining
servers
on
Linux,
I
have
some
friends
at
Amazon
who
would
really
want
to
know
more
about
it
because
their
Prime
Day
went
Subprime
on
them.
