I think you sort of took Foongus' lane. See how you have all these untaken mex early? Because you two are inhabiting the same space leaving the entire left side to baller. None of you are expanding fast enough IMO.

Your wall against lance is good. Your use of mino vs. fencer is good. Burying caretakers for long term resilient support is good. Tick+mino comp is smart (should have brought over your iris).

I think you did well enough. If you want to do better, the single thing I would have changed would be... again, strategic decision-making. sn_hawk was waaay overperforming their elo because you were letting them. You had the tools to steamroll all of West but spread yourself thin over comparitively static fronts at around the 10:00 mark. These fronts didn't really need your tanks, but you'd have immediately won the game if you sent them West frfr.

So when you take the land you want, take a step back and think about how to leverage that position to have the biggest impact. WP overall though.

I joined late and was in catch-up mode for the remainder of the game, but I recall thinking a lot of variants of "Knightshade's plan here probably wouldn't work if I tried it and would be even less likely to work if someone tried it against me, How is it working here?"

On review, the answer seems to be that malric was trying to ignore whatever you and Foongus0298 were doing in the center for the first ten minutes in order to put extra pressure on baller_squid, and that included not trying to scout or counter your composition.

USrankBuckymancer: Even in the first 10 mintues left site was raided by kodachis (so neither baller_squid nor Ermes) and felt like it would fall without attention. Pressuring right side probably would have helped with that, but felt like a long way around that big crater.

Malric, you weren't wrong to support the left side in general, it just had the tradeoff of letting Knightshade build a fort and forward repair point uncontested within Impaler range of your rally point.

Since "pressure on baller_squid" wasn't your motive, that bit was wrong and Knightshade did have a hand in redirecting your attention and army away from the center.
