So, in response to Stewart98 's thread, I've decided to step up and fix some of these rather "not abosolutely great or wonderful either" sound FX. If Stewart98 could make a list of the sounds that need to be fixed, i can start from there. Or if anyone else can, that'd be great. Personally not a single sound is awful but when you mix all of them it is kinda bad. I think raider pew pew sounds sucks others are fine. I personally would like more ZK sounding more metalish real like weapon sounds. Yeah I know there mostly is lazors of all kind.

Maybe this helps. Also marker placement sounds. The search bar in the top right might be useful for you - just take care when using it, sometimes it links you to the forum on test.zero-k.info/ and that can lead to panic.

It has always annoyed me how ravager's weapon sounds more like a gun than a tank cannon.

goli and bertha have same fireing sound catapult and black dawn have the same sound fireing

The sounds that annoy me most are the com / factory / some unit selection sounds.

I have some doubts that you will... do any of these considering your previous efforts on developing anything (like train factory). But then good luck! (you so remind me of myself trying to do stuff for ZK and then failing horribly) Wolverine and Firewalker have the same firing sounds.

If I had many monies I would glady pay it all to you now without further thought. P.s. Please make sound that is slightly less hertz have more hertz. Thanks.

Thanks David! Also, you can be assured that these sounds will probably make your desk or floor vibrate. Unless your desk is soundproof. In which case you need to un-soundproof it for the incoming awesomeness.

OKKKKKK.... Something really not making sense here. The small explosions are louder that the big ones. Shinys deserve a lot better boom for their metal than a missle does. So this has been moved to top of priority for now.

Welp, went ahead and got a heavy gunshot sound done first. You can use it for anything you like. Also, when you download it from soundcloud, my audio software was acting up again, so I had to screen record it off (Thus, under details it says desktop as name). Good thing you're not overusing bass, as this can easily turn into an ugly mess(Currently does). Spring could also help with this: Currently it seems like all sounds are played at the same loudness, completely ignoring camera position. Besides 3D-sources and multi-channel sound, effects* could be applied depending on distance and whether the source is visible or not. This would improve combat awareness and help to orientate oneself. *Sounds fade with distance, some frequencies fade quicker than others(-> muffled sounds). Reverb could also help to portray distance. I don't know whether this has already been suggested/implemented in Spring.

Hmmm... as far as i know, i can hear glaives shooting zoomed fully out. I think implementing that would definitly help improve awareness skills. Also, all stuff is now at top, plus I added aa laser.

Because ZK does poor job with allocating sounds in 3D Parzival. The worst offender here being wolverine and scythe (though with scythe it is intentional). Also nice job!

Unlike your gunshot, the factory selection sounds seems to put itself too much into the foreground. It occupies all frequencies. Maybe you could eq it down a bit, so it isn't as annoying. Ofc this is just my opinion. AA laser is somehow muffled and way too long. Gunshot is my favorite for now. Maybe you could release the sounds as a pack when they're done so that we can try them out ingame.
