would it be possible for the room to autostart a poll when cerain conditions are met so people can vote if the want to split (and those that vote "yes" are moved in another room) or not to split and "upgrade" the room to Big ? I suspect this would solve part of the problems people are having...

FUCK JUGGLER Isn't easier to implement an autolock like in many BA hosts? It works well and lets people spectate, while forcing people who want to play to join another room if the current one is full...

If you don't want to be juggled join non-juggle rooms. Stop starting more and more juggler topics if you don't have anything to report, or I'll start deleting them. (which I don't wanna, ugh) If you want to have a chat about the round with others I suggest you use the battle link, PMs or #zk.

The natural and appropriate place to discuss a battle that just ended is in the room of people who just played or watched it. A group of people who have just played or watched a battle together have formed a temporary but important social bond. Alowing them to socialize together in the context of their immediately present shared experience is crucial to strengthening and deepening the social connection between players, and between the players and the game. When juggler disrupts this short-term social bonding by shuffling the group members away from each other, juggler is actively harming the game.

Proposed solution for end of discussion battle: Server does not shut down when game is over. It only ends when everyone quits spring, spectators not originally a player do not count. For winning team, they can now screw around with their pointless units and chat. When everyone quits and server shuts down, juggler runs. Autoquit after 12 seconds AFK is enforced by gadget. (instead of the current widget like now) In any case, a server shutdown as if everyone quit can be forced by exit vote which only requires 1/3 players 'yes' votes to pass.

Solution for end game chat is trivial - let people join debriefing room like #b123456 issue is it wont work for SL people as always.. Priority: make ZKL for linux. Without that we cant progress further.

Licho, what do you say about juggling out from specific room with specific map when other player join? It really annoy me

The problem with joining non-juggle rooms is that people don't want a dictator. They want to be able to vote on the issues without any interference from the host.

They can do that, Janitor. Springie supports votes in non-juggler rooms too.

The problem with non-juggler rooms is that everyone is told to go to the featured hosts to play, so hosting own room results in next to noone coming there at all.

Licho, jseah - it's not just about post-game chat. A group of people who have played a game want to continue as more-or-less the same group of people. They want to talk about the last game, choose the next game, and continue playing a series of games together. A battleroom is more than just a randomly-selected set of players playing a single game. It is a group of people and as such contains the kinds of social context that people impart on even the smallest of group interactions. The "quickmatch" concept that Licho is trying to achieve with Juggler ignores this fact, and does so to the detriment of the game and to the continued outrage and surprise of the players.

Quickmatch system is completely optional. People can choose to use manual hosts. They can also move chat to #zk. System also makes sure clans stick together.

Deciding how Juggler should work is akin to deciding what the defaults in the GUI should be. If people don't like it, it's true that they don't have to use it. But "don't use it then" isn't always the right answer. In some cases, it might be worth making changes so that more people will want to use it.

Solves everything. An option that'd support SL would be to automatically turn juggler off for players after a battle until one or two minutes after the battle. This would at the same time solve the "no pause between battles" problem. Players could simply turn juggler on again if they don't wish to wait.
