USrankKnightshade: Surprisingly for me, we were evenly matched until near the end, when I forgot to add a Caretaker to my factory. I had been focusing too much on slowing down your economic development that I neglected my own. That was probably my biggest downfall.

Some other things that I maybe could've done to turn the tide in my favor:

- Reclaim, reclaim, reclaim! Not only were there wrecked Kodachis that I could've salvaged, but I could've reclaimed the rocks at the start as well.
- Don't chase retreating enemy units back to their base, since they could receive reinforcements, forcing me to retreat back to my own base. If I lose units close to the enemy's base, that's just more metal for the enemy to reclaim.
- Don't bother too much on upgrading my commander, since that's usually metal better spent elsewhere. (I had been trying to add cloaking to it btw.)
- Build Ogres instead of Minotaurs, since I saw you focusing on clumped-up masses of Blitzes so much.

I also noticed some ways that you maybe could've improved your own gameplay:

- Reclaim what you can get. I made the mistake of sending units to die close to your base, which would've meant that you would've had plenty of metal available to spend on something that could defeat me. Plus, like I mentioned before, there were rocks that could be reclaimed.
- Set up a retreat zone near your base (or other fallback position), and set your durable Blitzes and Kodachis to automatically retreat there when they received some hefty damage. (I do this by default in the options menu.) This should lighten your micromanagement load.
- What could also lighten your micromanagement load is to set your factories on repeat build mode by default, so that you could be content knowing that you'll always be spending your metal on something productive instead of excessing it all. (If you need just one or two certain units, like, say, a constructor, then Alt+Left Click should have you covered.)

Though I'd add another thing: Rebuild mexes ASAP! Only having 1 mex for most of the game really hurt you.
Also, in a lot of maps there are rocks you can reclaim that can give your economy a nice jump start. :)

You might want to have something repairing at your retreat zone.

GBrankdyth68: Thankfully, after waiting a few seconds, all units start repairing themselves, though some Caretakers or constructors near your fallback zone can speed up the repair process, which would be especially helpful once striders start hitting the field.

Sadly, there was only so much that I could pay attention to at a time. Although I knew about the destroyed mexes and wind turbines (and might've queued up a Welder for base repairs and adding Caretakers to my factory), at the time, my mind was simply focused upon striking back at my opponent.

I have noticed a phenomenon where most players only issue a limited amount of expansion waves per game.

This almost looks like they run out of the ability to keep rebuilding the mexes in face of their constant destruction; and the precision of this per-player per-game limit is almost like watching them spend cards out of a CCG deck.

Stacking your deck with an Infinite Remex card is the first step on the path to royalty.
