Hi there,

maybe someone can give me some useful hints as I'm having issues with selection ranks.

--- Topic 1 ---
There are four Levels (0..3)

As I understood the Default is 1=Buildings (eco,def,nanos) 2=Cons(Com,cons) and 3=Armed Forces.

What is 0 intended for, as it seems not to be used?

--- Topic 2 ---
This way one of my favorite keys (Ctrl+A) is (in my opinion) broken or useless as it is NOT selecting all my stuff immideately.
I use this key often for checking Infos on "Selected Units Panel".

--- Topic 3 ---
Does anyone have further tips how to use this feature better?

@Topic2:

I just found out (http://zero-k.info/Forum/Thread/23988), that I broke my keybind "CTRL+A" as I set for my personal needs
"Settings/Interface/Selection:
Hold Ctrl to ignore rank difference above: 2

Can CTRL+A be reworked to everytime select all units?

It makes it difficult to select that unit using Ctrl-selection hotkeys, which is sometimes useful.

For example if you put a cloaked Flea in the enemy base you often don't want it to ever move (because then it decloaks and dies). But that would normally prevent you from controlling a Flea blob through Ctrl+Z which is otherwise convenient. So you put that Flea to priority 0 and now you can use Ctrl+Z without affecting it.

Which Infos? You said you set CTRL threshold to 2 so it shouldn't prevent you from seeing unit total counts, and most global economy stats are available on the resource bar.

SHIFT is supposed to ignore selection priority so try SHIFT+CTRL+A.

After pressing Post comment you should see a Forum and Wiki formatting guide link in the bottom right corner of the textbox. This should lead you to https://zero-k.info/Wiki/formatting which explains all you need to do.

My config is:

Settings/Interface/Selection:
Hold Ctrl to ignore rank difference above: 2

Maybe CTRL+SHIFT+A is not working as intended?
