Area Mex cancels queued Extractors

For example:
1. Use Area mex command on an area -> Metal extractors queued
2. Use again with SHIFT+ALT over the same area -> previous extractors are cancelled, and only the power plants are built.

This issue was resolved once in a previous patch, but has resurfaced again.

Oh so that's what happened. I thought I failed to hold alt down...

What does holding down alt does in this case? I use only shift and haven't observed any problems in this behavior currently. When was this behavior broken again?

Turns out the wiki has a guide on this specific command and holding alt down while giving this command places 4 solars around the mex automatically, which are replaced by wind/tidals depending on the conditions. The more you know.

Just to be exact: Area Mex + ALT queues up the Metal Extractor first, then surrounds it with 4 Solar / Wind / Tidal, if the building placement is not obstructed of course. Then the constructor goes to the next metal spot and repeats.

My intention with the method in my first post is to build all Metal Extractors first in an area, then surround all of them with power plants.

Area Mex + SHIFT also cancels the previously queued extractors:
1. Use Area Mex in an area -> queues up the extractors
2. Use Area Mex + SHIFT in an area containing the first either partially or fully -> all Metal Extractors in the intersection are cancelled.
