I don’t know about op; however, I do play hover, and they are just annoying before and after they die. If all vehicles had a terrain flatting attack their annoyance after they died would become a minor inconvenience. Maybe I should try quake missiles. Hmm, opponent makes wall to stop lances attack, I advance my army directly behind wall, using it for cover. Hit the wall with a quake missile, and suddenly their army is in range.

Isn't that the most annoying and deadly part? Particularly when they're on your side and make your territory unpassable. In the first game I posted I was about to prevail just until they switched to dirtbag spam. Then everything fell apart. After they found it to work, there's the second game where they built dirtbags from the start. If you don't set out to kill them they'd become more and more and you're doomed.

My only issue with dirtbags is how they break pathing. Leading to a frustrating experience where you can't tell where your units can and cannot go and what they can and cannot shoot.
Legibility in these two aspects is vital for game fun.
