Dear ZeroK team,
I am a fan of your game (and of Balanced Annihilation before) and I really appreciate your work.

Since several months I have this problem, every now and then (and quite often) when I play a game in ZeroK, my display turns for a second to black with with white horizontal lines. And then after few minutes it stays in that way, I can't hear anymore the game sounds and I can't go back to the desktop. I need to press the reboot button on the desktop case (hard reboot).
My desktop is for sure old (built in 2010), but it is able to run smoothly your game.
The main issue is that I can't play with the constant fear of the black screen of death (BSOD).

Hope that you can help me.

This is the infolog from last game I got BSOD. It is truncated, because the system was stuck at that point: https://pastebin.com/TwNxqEmT
The only change I made to infolog is to remove some personal info.

I tried to use the compatibility mode and to tweak the settings, but it hasn't worked.

Does it only happen after a game has been in progress for a while, or do you even see it under early conditions where few units have been built?

It sounds a lot like a crash in the hardware / drivers, so usually the first step would be to get the newest video driver. But with an old card on Windows 10 you may not have the option for anything newer. So, here are a couple more general things you could try if you haven't already:

- Enabling vsync in the lobby. That might reduce the workload on the card in case there's some borderline heat or power supply issue that only shows up under heavy load.
- Changing your windowed / fullscreen mode. The log indicates you're using some kind of windowed mode, so maybe running in exclusive fullscreen mode could make a difference.

Hi Porkchop,
thanks for your advices.

Yes, my GPU is quite old and I can't find newer drivers.

The crash happens even when few units are on the battlefield (just few minutes in a game).
It seems more related to the zoom. If I zoom out in some maps, the crash happens sooner and more often.
