Chicken randomly use "superweapons"

Hi,

I am using the latest version of the game and also the Unit Levels Up v64 mod.

I tried playing a chicken game. It started normally, and suddenly chicken started using weapons like shields, and pigeons dropped powerful bombs.

Why is that? Does anyone get a similar symptom? How to prevent this from happening?

To make it clear, I know the typical weapons of each chicken. But seeing the basic chicken, the zerg-like creature, having a shield or exploding when dying and destroying my factory, was really weird and unusual.

you're using a mod that makes units stronger when they level up. the chickens leveled up and got stronger. that's all
frankly if the chickens didn't start getting cluster trinity sidearms then it wouldn't be unitlevelups

This is normal.

You can lower their tech speed by destroying nests.
