The time has come to stir up this hole! To your attention, I present an idea that should diversify any gameplay.

Choosing a Faction (Or whatever you want to call it)

Before starting the game, in addition to choosing a Commander, it will also be necessary to choose a game "Bonus" that can give some advantages instead of depriving something.
That is, let's say 5 different Fractions will be added first. Eg:

In the first faction of the "Rebels", the player loses the commander at the start and in return receives the storage and the starting squad of the selected factory.
In the second faction of "Mad Engineers", the commanders will be able to build buildings and units almost instantly due to their strength and the chance to disassemble themselves into atoms in the process.
In the third Faction, "Living Force", the Commander gets the opportunity to build a rocket from silo.
In the fourth Clone faction, you can get 2 commanders, but they will lose the ability to build buildings.
In the fifth Kamikaze faction, units' HP decreases by 50%, but after death they deal damage equal to this 50%.
You can invent endlessly.

It will be most diverse to create a whole tree of "talents" as has already been implemented in many games. Where players decide for themselves what positive and negative perks they want to have.

Good idea, but as a permanent effect I wouldn't like it, it would deprive the game of creativity, as you'd be locked in. I'd also touch up the ideas to make sure they are balanced.

I agree with CArankvxd240. You could make it a mod though.
