RNG DEATH OF LIGHT UNITS FROM NEWTON LAUNCHERS NEEDS TO BE FIXED

THERE'S LIKE A 30% DEATH RATE ON SNITCHES WHEN USING JUST 2 NEWTONS AND IT'S NOT AN HP THING BECAUSE I CAN SETUP A RAMP WITH MUCH MORE NEWTONS AND LAUNCH JACKS 4X THE DISTANCE AND THEY TAKE 0 DAMAGE IN THE PROCESS. EVEN TRYING ALL DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANGLES ON RAMPS DOESN'T SOLVE THE DEATH PROBLEM OF LIGHT UNITS. FLEAS LITERALLY HAVE LIKE A 95% DEATH RATE ON 2 NEWTONS OR MORE REGARDLESS OF ANGLE OF RAMP OR POSITION OF NEWTONS AND ITS RNG BASED AND ITS ANNOYING

If you want support or changes you will need to actually provide screenshots of what you've tried so it can be replicated or explained. The lack of supporting evidence of your claims plus a deeply unpleasant reading experience earned you a -1 from me. Reformat your post and provide screenshots and I'll change it to a +1.

if you use a lobster to throw a unit over a newton you can avoid even making any ramp 100% no collision damage.. takes a bit of getting used to to aim it.. may also need to raise the newton if you want more aiming control

a few raised newton and a lobster can throw a detriment into space

Thank you NLrankkoenradar. The addition of a replay is quite helpful. Now we have something to go off of.

Yeah I'll add that I've experienced this as well and seen it happen to others with snitches.

its cheaper and safer to use a trebuchet made with a raised newton and a lobster

would be cool to just have a building dedicated unit launching which costs roughly what a terraforming launcher would normally cost

I have noticed this happening as well, wasn't a problem previously (but I haven't played in a few months so not sure exactly when it broke)

Before you could make a ramp and fire loads of snitches just fine without any blowing up.
Now even with perfect ramp at almost any angle they seem to hit the terrain, but its pretty random.

Maybe something changed with newton script?

FWIW firing dirtbags seems to be fine, which have a much higher aim point.






There is a small lip on this ramp for some reason, which is very hard to see unless you put the camera flat on the terrain. It was small enough that the dirtbag just flew over it, but the snitch gets pushed along the terrain, so just slams right into it.
