Hi all,

i just wanted to show my anger about the new blastwing bombdropping update.

Imo it destroyes the game experience when being massed because it has no real hard counter anymore.
E.g. you build lot of vandals for hard counter (what it should be). But blastwing bomb undermines its hard counter: despite destroying the blastwing, the bomb reaches the vandal and so has no chance to counter the blastwing.
And so the often encountered case of massing blastwings really disturbes the overall game experience imo and feels like playaing against a defiant child just stomping into the playing carpet over and over again.
You put effort in good army composition, build counters, etc. but it feels worthless after you encounter massblastwing flewn at your army.

hard counter is radar + picket.. vandals work but they must retreat during and after they kill the bwings its very tight.. and they need radar or forward los

imho as with most air it may be best to eventually invest in a chainsaw but in the meantime pickets shutdown blastwings and you can get the mex too with the cons this outpaces a gunship bwing spammer while you get enough metal to go chainsaw

good answer, only if you can explain how to walk around the map with chainsaw and picket? ;)

this is for pure blastwing spam.. use cons to expand capturing mex and defending them with pickets then once you have a good income make a forward chainsaw in a key position to shutdown blastwings for good.. or force the gunship player to switch off blastwing spam

You are a tad bit late...
blast wing has alrdy been nerfed into obsolesce again.
picket rofl stomps it, fleas rofl stomp it, swifts rofl stomp it....
you can barely get lucky trying to hit a cluster of undefended skirms/arty (maybe..)
they also miss because their ai has some issues (like running into a cliff).


also edit comm with the rocket launcher weapon and a range module to shut BW down...

Funny, I was actually okay with before the blastwing nerf. I think it made the raptor more useful, because it can swoop into range and quickly take them out before they get close to any ground targets.
