Welcome to the pot.
LOBSTER POT 1: LIGHTLY COOKED
This tournament effectively serves as the current LR season's week 3. This monthly will have 1v1 and DOUBLECOM! as a format. See below for descriptions. We will have these lobster pot monthlies once a month, as the name implies. Seasonal ranking points are DOUBLED for non-side bracket monthly events.
For those unfamiliar with how Lobster Roll originally started, LR was originally a weekly tournament series. Thus, in the interest of consistency, we will be reverting to that format.
What is DOUBLECOM?Doublecom is a 1v1 format where you start with two commanders instead of one. It is also played on a separate map pool that is slightly more macro-focused than normal 1v1.
The tournament(s) will have the following format:
-
Main 1v1 bracket will be double elimination pools (we expect a large turnout) followed by single elimination top cut. Top cut will be decided according to the number of entrants:
- Top 4 (0-8 participants)
- Top 6 (8-16 participants)
- Top 8 (16+ participants)
We reserve the right to edit this later if we have very large turnouts.
-
B-class (redemption) bracket will be Swiss for those that do not meet top cut.
-
Side bracket (doublecom format) will be 3 rounds of Swiss unless more are deemed necessary. There is no monetary prizing for doublecom.

Map Pool and SelectionTBD
-
Maps are striked in a banning process from a map pool (winner of !flip is player 1 for purposes of striking), and then the player who wins a !flip if game 1, or loser of the previous game if games 2 or 3, picks a map from the remaining (unstriked) stages.
The order goes (Map pools now contain 9 maps):
p1-p2-p1-p2-p1-p2, p1 pick - for game one.
Games after game one - the winner of the previous game bans three maps from the pool, and then the loser picks a map from the remaining options.
