I just wondered, ALL porc has 360 degress firing arc, I believe we should add limited firing arcs so it possible to flank the weak points of a porc.

I strongly support this for heavier emplacements like DDM, Anni, Behemoth. Maybe, some lighter defenses could also be re-roled with this in mind. The technical side of this though would require extending placement of such structures via widget, and an extra gadget to actually lock the units into proper rotation.

i would really love this for almost all porc... at the verry least: 150deg ark: hlt gaus ddm behe 90deg ark: emg anni screamer chainsaw hacksaw aa really needs this to make the air game more intresting, especialy due to its IMENSE INSTAPWN RANGE

It's a cute idea but wouldn't really work with how the game is designed right now. It may be nice to impliment this as a special ability on a unit, physical special abilities that use these kinds of properies are very interesting and fun.

i like the idea too, ddm/anni with firing arc would be nice

um s44 has had this feature for ages...

I don't like this idea. If a turret can turn, it would look stupid if it can't turn 360° and it favors porc lines, because there is no weak spot in a line.

I've never seen a pitbull in game btw. Either remove it to make a place for one turret from Special tab or make it useful. I think the problem is that it's superceded by Stinger almost completely.

How about letting Stardust or DDM (or any other static, I just think it fits these two best) morph into a reinforced version that faces a specific direction? Could work similar to S44's "deploy" option or what its called. Don't allow morphing back. Oh, I've seen plenty of Gauss, naryl. Just watch cloakbot players when they get overrun by shieldbots, hehe.

gauss does kinda stink though

gaus is awsome, but it only works on shield bots, comms, striders, and hveh but vs those 4 unit types gaus pwns hard

gauss is really useful against shields and some other units and it's actually used, but not as much as other turrets like stinger

Well to be fair Gauss is pretty easily countered by shields. Emping it with arti once it pops up to kill a Dirtbag gotta be the best counter, so against competent shield players it IS useless. Personally I hardly ever build it. I usually only build LLTs and defenders, go for HLT if I have to counter some skirm spam and DDM if I really really want to hold a line. Anni, Stardust, Faraday and Newton are all too easily countered for me to use them - which doesn't mean they're not good at their roles, it's just that I don't like too specialized porc 'cause of how easy it is to counter them. Same goes for Gauss.

skasi against a competent player ALL porc is usless anytime my enemy makes any defence structure other then the requisite 2 llt on start mex i lol and steamroll them with arty/assults

A jack's worth of aggressive mt is pretty difficult to deal with as jumpy bots, when backed up by units. But anyway back to the topic: I'd love to see limited arc turrets. There are already building facing widgets for factories etc. and like ddba mentioned s44 has done this for a while.

Limited arc on the heavier porc would be good, making lines easier to break and unit assaults possibly more viable. I would say to put it on the Behemoth, DDM, and Anni, maybe more, but not on the already weaker ones like Stardust and Gauss, or the light ones like llt and mt, or any AA.

It boggles my mind that there are people who think Zero-K is not sufficiently complicated.

models of all turrets clearly look like they can rotate 360° - would require new models. springs building rotation system works in 90° steps - not precise enough for rotating fire arcs - would need a new lua. 50% of players probally do not know how to rotate buildings
