I have been testing 94.0 (only one game so far) and saw a very obvious bug, outlaws dont do any damage or slow (this battle)
Please post any bugs or other things about 94.0 here.

Whenever i play a game against chickens after like the third wave the game starts to lag really bad. Ping just increases into oblivion. Happend to me more than once with Version 94.0.

Outlaw slowed/damaged my own units as well in a chicken game.

And after i started lagging behind (see above), i got some network connection error spam.
I couldn't order my units around anymore, despite "catching up" showing <1 second for a long time... It was all very weird.
I can upload the replay if anybody wants...

What we dont know is if this is an issue with the part of the engine that the outlaw uses or if it is a problem with ZK running on new code that needs changing to work with ZK.

DErankTolfu & @MauranKilom can you post a link to the battle or a replay?

Need to figure out whether its fixable or not.

GBrankTheSponge's outlaw bug is fixable, it has been fixed.

Battle didn't get saved here cos it was probably exited.
Here's my local replay: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fyesuty9xpz012s/20130324_202710_Chicken_Nuggets_v4_94.sdf

How do you use MT? I followed the instructions and unpacked it to the 94.0 installation directory but when the game starts spring doesnt start.

Testing again, the bug has changed to damaging and slowing everything including my own units and trees.

EDIT: actually its only in 94.0, its fine in 94.1 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/springrts/files/springrts/spring-94.1/)

You sure current test does this in 94.0 and not in 94.1?

(94.1 and 94.0 should sync between each other; doing damage differently is a surefire desync cause; something seems amiss here)

Is it possible that it's ZK that got changed meanwhile?

It worked properly in this battle.
Here [insert replay when i have done it again] it did not work and damaged my units though.

Multiplayer B157228 2 on Small_Divide-Remake-v04 this one?

If so, then zk differs, re-test with 94.0 on current test.

In that battle we were both using 94.1. http://zero-k.info/Battles/Detail/157654 is the battle with 94.0. It did not damage my units that time but it certainly did when using ZK 1.1.3.6 in single player.

Seems to say the engine there is 94.1.

You mean stable? That is expected, fix is dated yesterday and is only in test now.

The engine version said 94.1 but i actually set it to use 94.0, why would it be expected in the stable version? This seems to be fine now in 94.1 though (loving the new and improved pathfinding too). Do you know when the new stable ZK will be ready for the new engine?

When current stuff that is in air gets solidified. Like, "what damage formula should be used for consistent gauss that doesn't do critical damages in concentric rings around shooter".

Ok, the sooner the better.

> for consistent gauss

HAHA, ever seen the bounce really bounce off the hit point?

make 1 gauss, zoom in and attack a few different spots close to the turret and you will see how weird it behaves beyond damage.

we can adjust the damage in gadget:UnitPreDamaged(unitID, unitDefID, unitTeam, damage, paralyzer, weaponID, attackerID, attackerDefID, attackerTeam) return damage end

which commit log? Can you serve a link please?

This one?

We should prefer single hit and adjust damage in gadget:UnitPreDamaged for some units and some directions according to yard map and maxDamage.

Big units like the tank factory have free space - should this free space count for more damage?

The bug about games not being recorded does not seem to be there anymore (This battle was recorded;http://zero-k.info/Battles/Detail/160696)
All the other testing battles we played were also recorded.
