Not a crazy good game, but had some back and forth with fails on me experimenting with tactics. If people think it's good... maybe a candidate for a commentary?

So, can i post a game summary, or shall i wait until you've watched it?

My post and anti spoiler:

EErankAdminAnarchid, Vaultlaws date back to times when they could actually kill things on there own :) a newton fort is actually a good idea.

NLrank[GBCoW]FlorisXIV, they was i see it the game was over for me when the stiletto got out - i overextended. If i were to hold my forces back at the center and abuse my slightly better eco points then the outcome would differ greatly.

IMHO the worst thing i did was not countering rouge spam with something more appropriate.

Yes, but even now a vaultlaw would be an impenetrable fortification. I mean, you can't kill it and you can't pass it without taking losses, even if it's weaker. You can't tear it down with workers, because it still has enough damage to kill them if they are exposed. And if you send things like levelers, well, not like you're guaranteed any success anyway.

I don't think i ever tried attacking old vaultlaws directly in old days, the primary function was as deterrent for quite a while (until bombers or impalers could be provisioned)

Ah, i see GBrank[GBC]Fred is at his old trick again, too.

I used Vaultlaws only when i wanted to lock down and nearly compleatly forget about a front - to concentrate my army elsewere. The end result was a porc-like object that couldn't be directly damaged, but ignoring it is too costly. If i use vaultlaw now the result will be a very fortified fallback point, upon approaching which, will castrate your army and tickle you to death, along with the main fire support from your own units.

Finally watched it.

Damned stiletto is so damned. Also turning point was loss of crabe.

I compleatly agree: loss of crabe was the last drop - for some reason i forgot to send support units for it, didn't fortify critical locations and cap enough mexes. The moment i realised that i just saw a stilleto appear.
