i think main reason for reefs not being as much of a problem (tho it is almost the same) is that there are counter that are fully unaffected by drones and reefs own weapon (subs) and the drones' weapons arent as deadly as funnel drones' ones.

reef drones have a comparativly hard time hitting planes for example, while funnel drones just shred anything that come close no matter what it is.

it not really is a counter, you cannot actually kill the drones and the aa will die eventually, from the the drones it is meant to counter. its a very soft counter at best if combined with other units and not a counter if alone.

yeah that could work, but id rather/on top of that see them cost metal because that would disallow usage to break down aa entrenchments and similar. funnel itself would need its own gun then.

in principle, but comparing funnel to say a fusion just looks over too many differences to name them all. saying "ability to spawn drones at this and that rate is equivalent to making this much overdrive eco" is very theoretical.
