5 So basically there was a period of "noob" being a bannable offense. People created permutations of the word as a way of sidestepping and highlighting the silliness of banning a specific word. As the permutations grew more farfetched ( because people quickly ran out of good ideas) it organically arrived at "lobster". With this a lot of new word play opened up ( "grilling" etc. ) , and people had forgotten why they were permuting the word "noob" in the first place. So it has just sort of stuck around long enough to get exposure and become something of a forced meme. 5 So basically there was a period of "noob" being a punishable offense.
