3 In what ways is it a modern RTS? Its extremely polished and pretty and has good matchmaking and community and E-sports scene yes.. but that's all irrelevant to the discussion at hand. 3 In what ways is it a modern RTS? 5 It is a reboot of a game from the year 2000. It is designed to closely replicate the gameplay experience of its predecessor - keeping the archaisms the SCI community has come to expect intact. Its not insulting to say the game is not modern, and it does not reflect badly on anyone who likes SCII to say it is something old that has been repackaged, given a new spin and made shiny for the next generation. It is not innovative, the same way that Batman Begins was not innovative - but it is polished and punchy and shiny, and that's cool. 5 It is a reboot of a game from the year 2000.
