No,
that's
boring.
It
is
fun
to
win
a
hard
fought
match
against
good
opposition
than
stomp
newbies.

Sometimes even losing can be reasonably fun if the match was of high quality.

If you personally would like playing with striders after the match was already concluded, then as suggested, there are vs CAI games and cheats for that.

As for actual new players, I'd imagine it would mostly just be confusing as hell to arbitrarily get some striders after losing a game ("Is the game over?", "WTF is going on?", "Can we still win?", "It appears we still lost, but no idea what kind of circus I just witnessed?").

Also, you seem to assume all new players are super casual. Keep in mind some have a history of other RTS games and may very well be competitive in nature.
