A fair number of the surviving old ZK players are rude trolls. That said, being a snowflake here isn't going to get you far - the internet is not a safe space, Zero-k is not a safe space, and nobody is obliged to talk to you or be your friend. If you PM someone, they are not obliged to be friendly back even though many people will be.

The solution here is to recognise people who are unfriendly and not to communicate or play with them where you don't have to. Complaining on the forums like this is silly.

Top Players are not obliged to be ambassadors or representatives of the game. Having enough spare time to play a game constantly does not imply that you are also really nice or even care about the well-being of the game or its community.
