1 At first glance this looks an awful lot like https://github. com/ZeroK-RTS/Zero-K/issues/4200, but that issue seems specific with [cannon] weapons, scorcher is [lasercannon]. I think the screenshot you have is not the whole picture, some projectiles cleared past the factory( admitedly it looks like less than 50% passed the factory) . I think this is most related to the slight inacuracy of scorcher, and some fuzzy elmo rounding errors.
