I do think a good bit of interest of this implementation is that the dgun is a shared cooldown with its main weapon and Merlin coming with both (theres always a use for base merlin weapon) but needing you to choose between them (ye can't do both at the same tiem).

It could try to end up in a sort of mix between both, but I feel like that would water down both individual aspects/functionalities/playstyles and also make Merlin more difficult to use by the average lob.

An idea would be to have a sort of half vs full salvo distinction between main weapon and dgun, but then it would be the same range etc to make sense, and needing to be immobile during firing between half and full salvo doesnt make sense/makes less sense than a different ammo type.

I think for now I'll see how having the dgun handles as the sole/main weapon for merlin (with extra range to make up for the capability lost from losing its normal volley).

Touching the main weapon of merlin comes with a lil more risk and uncertainty of breaking something that already works, or rather isn't broken, along the way.
