It is not a bad idea..to make commanders reconstruct at chosen factory.This will make them more usefull(30-40% less cost in reconstructing from intial metal investment on the com).

And the transformer idea is not that hard to work.Just for spider recon commander chose the skin of the venom spyder and add different textures like those used in terraforming.
