Chickens should adapt their strength to the total amount of metal on the map, and the metal density in an area ('Chicken' maps usually have the metal all clustered to one defensible side, while on say, comet, you have to leave some of the metal in the chickens control). 1 Chickens should adapt their strength to the total amount of metal on the map, and the metal density in an area ('Chicken' maps usually have the metal all clustered to one defensible side, while on say, comet, you have to leave some of the metal in the chickens control).

At a rough guess, I'd say it should scale based on the metal present in the third of the map with the most metal, if people played proper rather than chicken maps though it could probably be just based on the metal. 3 At a rough guess, I'd say it should scale based on the metal present in the third of the map with the most metal, if people played proper rather than chicken maps though it could probably be just based on the metal.

Again, at a guess, I'd think that each player in the current system is worth about 10 metal in income in a metal-income scaling based system. 5 Again, at a guess, I'd think that each player in the current system is worth about 10 metal in income in a metal-income scaling based system.

Of course one needs to adjust for the starting resources extra commanders give you, so the first few chicken waves could possibly get a player-based multiplier which fades into the metal based multipler over, say, 10 waves. 7 Of course one needs to adjust for the starting resources extra commanders give you, so the first few chicken waves could possibly get a player-based multiplier which fades into the metal based multipler over, say, 10 waves.

Also, the way chickens was meant to be set up was that if you ever really clamp them down to tech zero, the queen ( or dragons) will come almost instantly. You don't actually want to destroy -too- many burrows or you incur the wrath of the queen. It's meant to be a balance. 9 Also, the way chickens was meant to be set up was that if you ever really clamp them down to tech zero, the queen ( or dragons) will come almost instantly.
