1 Drone's got a point because yesterday I ended up getting muted by Jasper after asking about my voting rights and and then he said something like "You should be lucky you aren't muted for racism" or something like that... then I asked "what racism" as you would expect any higher-functioning human being to do, which was met with a mute. So, obviously, I couldn't argue my case... I'm not going to invoke Godwin's law here today however. 3 So I think, while the situation may not be as widespread as Drone says, I am 100% certain there are cases where mods ban or abuse their powers for personal reasons, rather than to carry out their role they were put in place to. To think that there is NO abuse of powers is naive and simply stupid. To prevent this, I would be in favour of mods requiring to present evidence (Not: hurr becuz i wantid 2 ban him lol!) before banning/muting/etc, and to give a clear and detailed reason for it. 3 So I think, while the situation may not be as widespread as Drone says, I am 100% certain there are cases where mods ban or abuse their powers for personal reasons, rather than to carry out their role they were put in place to. 5 It is important for people in a position of responsibility to not act on emotions. 5 It is important for people in a position of responsibility to not act on emotions. Also, there was an incident with maackey not long ago that got sorted out luckily, he made a bad decision which seemed to have been dealt with.
