1 In terms of the gameplay footage used in any potential video, I don't think we should go with the 'huge epic armies destroying each other' approach used in some of the trailers. For one thing it is misleading about the game, the greatest fun is (IMO, but I think it is a fairly common one) in the map control, strategy and tactics, and everything falls apart when the games get big. For another thing, it simply looks boring and generic, like all we do is mass up armies and throw them at one another. 1 In terms of the gameplay footage used in any potential video, I don't think we should go with the 'huge epic armies destroying each other' approach used in some of the trailers. 3 Show the people shots of some big battles sure, especially if we talk about the scale or whatever, but don't make them be just big formations thrown at each other. Show off the scale in terms of space and the map, with players actually playing intelligently and effectively. I recommend lveh-lveh fights for the larger battle scenes, as they are the one which (IMO again) looks and feels best in big fights. 3 Show the people shots of some big battles sure, especially if we talk about the scale or whatever, but don't make them be just big formations thrown at each other. 5 The important thing to remember is that to most 'gamers', this game looks and is preconcieved as shit simply from its free status. We need to demonstrate what makes the game good, not imitate the trailers of other games better suited to the 'lolepic' paradigm. 5 The important thing to remember is that to most 'gamers', this game looks and is preconcieved as shit simply from its free status and old graphics.
