Singu is not a dedicated kamikaze unit. Singu does not contribute to Kamikaze Award.

Singu is a non-superweapon building. Singu contributes to Turtle Shell.

No, awards aren't there to count imaginary points.
IMO they're there to:
1) Encourage good play (I don't think Singu/Detri kamikaze is something we want to encourage)
2) Provide information on a game - who did what, and how effective it was. Adding general death damage will make this information less useful.
